Minibus Hire The Scout Group runs two Ford Transit 17 seater minibuses and a trailer that are available to hire by other Scout Groups and local Schools, Out of School Clubs and Community Organisations. Ford Transit 17 Seater MinibusesBoth minibuses have fully adjustable lap & diagonal seat belts to fit people of any age from pre-school to adult.The minibuses are insured for all drivers 25 and over who have a category D1 or D1 (not for hire or reward) driving licence.They have digital tachographs (for travelling abroad or towing heavy trailers) and towbars (we have a double-axle van trailer and a canoe trailer with 10 canoes for hire) and have full breakdown cover in case of any difficulties. Hire ChargeOur charges are kept in line with Fife Council Local Authority minibuses and include all fuel, insurances and use of a Small Bus Permit issued by the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions enabling organisations to charge a fee to cover transport costs. Fuel cards are kept in each of the buses.Charges from 1st January 2022 are £75 minimum charge (covering up to 100km) and 75p per km thereafter.Charge covers the cost of fuel and insurance. TrailerThe trailer can be hired for £10 per day, £25 per weekend, or £50 per week.There is a separate booking calendar for the trailer so if you require a minibus and trailer please put in two bookings. Fines/Insurance ClaimExcess of £150 would need to be paid in the event of an accident that resulted in an insurance claim.Any parking tickets are the responsibility of the hirer/driver to pay.Any speeding tickets or fines would have to be paid for by the hirer/driver.
